As a followup to my post 8 Cheap Personal Care Products Celebrities Swear By, I decided to do a post focused on drugstore makeup that celebrities love. I’ve rounded up some affordable makeup products that celebrities rave about and that are available in your local drugstore for $12 or less.
1. Katy Perry turns to Cover Girl Outlast lip stain ($6) when she performs on stage because it lasts for hours and isn’t sticky.
2. Nicole Richie loves Kiehl’s Lip Balm ($6), which comes in pretty (and yummy!) colors like “cranberry” and “pear”.
3. Ellen DeGeneres always keeps her makeup look simple. She maintains flawless looking skin with the help of Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation ($12).
4. Kelly Rowland is a devoted user of L’Oreal Voluminous mascara (around $6) in Carbon Black.
5. To achieve an airbrushed look, Adriana Lima uses Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mousse ($5)
6. Ciara fills in her brows with Revlon’s Brow Fantasy Pencil & Gel ($7)

I swear by all of the Olay / Cover Girl Simply Ageless collection (see my makeup bag http://rainintorainbows.com/2012/01/11/blog-challenge-day-11-makeup-bag/). Especially used in conjunction with their primer, it truly does give you gorgeous, flawless skin. It also does a wonderful job on those pores that seem to be more prominent as we get older.
I’ve tried much, much more expensive brands, but have ended up using this one exclusively for foundation and blush, simply because it’s just that good.
